Jasper is a variety of Chalcedony. It is usually brown in color but can also be found in shades of grey, blue, white, purple, pink, red, orange, and yellow. Jasper is also widely held to be a very nurturing stone, bringing comfort and reassurance to the wearer or bearer as well as feelings of optimism and freedom from fear.
